Anani Sanouvi é um criador transmídia e do movimento, pesquisador e educador que investiga o embaralhamento ontológico entre sua epistemologia Ewé e a contemporaneidade, por meio de encruzilhadas transculturais e estratégias contra-coloniais. Nascido no Togo, passou a infância no Gabão, morou no Senegal, na Bélgica, na Holanda e no Brasil, e atualmente reside em Portugal. Recebeu reconhecimento internacional como laureado da UNESCO, do África Center, do Instituto Sacatar e do Prêmio Rolex Mentor & Protégé, e seu trabalho foi apresentado em diversos espaços ao redor do mundo, incluindo including Julidans Festival (Holanda), Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens (Bélgica), DTW–Dance Theater Workshop (EUA), ImPulsTanz Festival (Áustria), The Place (RU), Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg (Luxembourgo), and MAR-Museu de Arte do Rio (Brasil).
É mestre em Artes Plásticas-Dança pelo Bennington College e, com sua pedagogia “Multi-Translation” e método “Agama-Fo”, ministrou cursos e workshops em várias universidades, bem como em companhias de dança e teatro em vários países. Além disso, participou de seminários e conferências de destaque, incluindo “Colonialism' Remembrance Concept for Berlin” na Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Alemanha), “Art in Conflict Zones” no Baxter Theater (África do Sul) e “Imagining the Future” na New York University Abu Dhabi (Emirados Árabes Unidos). Desde 2023, é bolsista da Escola de Pós-Graduação da Universidade de Artes de Berlim (UdK). Junto com a pesquisadora e artista transmídia Christiane da Cunha, é cofundador e criador do coletivo Kawin.
Anani Sanouvi is a transmedia movement creator, researcher, and educator who investigates the ontological shuffling between his Ewé epistemology and contemporary life, through transcultural intersections and counter-colonial strategies. Born in Togo, he spent his childhood in Gabon, lived in Senegal, Belgium, the Netherlands and Brazil, and currently resides in Portugal. He has received international recognition as a laureate of UNESCO, Africa Center, Sacatar Institute, and the Rolex Mentor & Protégé Award. His work has been presented in various venues worldwide, including Julidans Festival (Netherlands), Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens (Belgium), DTW–Dance Theater Workshop (USA), ImPulsTanz Festival (Austria), The Place (UK), Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg (Luxembourg), and MAR–Rio Art Museum (Brazil). He holds a MFA in Dance from Bennington College and, with his “Multi-Translation” pedagogy and “Agama-Fo” method, has taught courses and workshops at various universities, as well as at dance and theater companies in several countries. In addition, he has participated at notable seminars and conferences, including “Colonialism' Remembrance Concept for Berlin” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Germany), “Art in Conflict Zones” at the Baxter Theater (South Africa), and “Imagining the Future” at the New York University Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). Since 2023 he has been a Fellow at the Graduate School of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). Together with researcher and transmedia artist Christiane da Cunha, he is co-founder and creator of the Kawin collective.
